Welcome to The House Turned Home!
I spent 6 years as a Navy wife, and I’m now a mother to a wonderful baby boy. I’m a Christian, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I am one of those people that goes to church every single Sunday. Well, almost every Sunday.
I have one dog and one cat and I’m a huge advocate for animals. I’ve been known to volunteer at local shelters when I can.
I thought long and hard about creating a blog that focused on one thing, such as just “Finance”, or just “Minimalism”. My goal though is to help others turn their 4 walls into a place where they can feel comfortable coming back to after a long day, a place where they feel totally free to be themselves. A house is not a home unless many different aspects are applied and in balance. With that in mind, on this blog you’ll find posts about military life, minimalism, organization, parenting, budgeting money, and so much more. Each of these topics is a passion of mine. I truly hope that you enjoy following along as I walk you through turning your house into a home.
