The goal is to make homes easier to live in, reduce unnecessary clutter and consumption, and help people create space for the activities, relationships, and interests they want more room for.
That means practical solutions, realistic expectations, and resources designed for homes that are actually being lived in.

I’m Shannon, the creator of The House Turned Home. This site grew from my interest in organizing, creating practical systems, homeschooling, and finding ways to make home life support the things we actually want more time for.
I believe a home should make everyday life easier—not create another standard to live up to. That idea shapes the organization resources, cleaning systems, homeschool tools, books, apps, and other projects I create here.
My goal is to share useful, realistic resources that help people create homes with less unnecessary clutter, less pressure, and more room for family, hobbies, learning, rest, and the things that matter to them.
